I’m Carolina

I’m a coach for overachievers, who need support to manage their anxiety, get stuck from their circumstances, let go of old patterns and beliefs, and hold their boundaries as they discover-- and stay true to-- who they are…

hey there,

I’m also an avid reader (I love Maya Angelou and Brene Brown), a painter, and a runner…  I’ve run SIX marathons!

When I was younger, I experienced so many different challenges, from trauma to being bullied, to feeling unclear about my path in life, and not knowing myself…

Ever since I was a child, I felt different and I knew I was different. Sometimes I thought I was from a different planet…

I grew up in the Dominican Republic and moved to the USA when I was 10 years old.

I got good grades and played team sports because I wanted my parents and family to feel proud of me. I thought if I could just get into a good school and get a good job then I would feel confident and worthy…

But deep down, I worried about what my friends, peers, teachers, and family thought of me…  I used to believe that life was happening to me and not for me because I could not control the circumstances in my life… Can you relate?

In my early years as an adult, I realized that I had anxiety, and lacked the confidence to do the things that would make me feel fulfilled.

I attended Bentley University as an undergraduate and got a job in private banking because I thought climbing the corporate ladder would give me the self-confidence and self-esteem I craved.

“It took me all the way into my early-20s to figure out I lacked self-worth and love,  anxiety, confidence, and all of the foundations for a happy and fulfilling life.”

I enrolled in an MBA program at Boston University because I wanted to develop my leadership skills, and I thought I could climb the ladder-- and figure out who I am faster-- if I had another piece of paper.

But then, at 24 years old, that self-confidence still hadn’t shown up.

It took me all the way into my early-20s to figure out I lacked self-worth and love,  anxiety, confidence, and the foundations for a happy and fulfilling life. I also was a perfectionist which got in the way of going after the things that I wanted to do like being my own boss.

Without academic achievements to chase, or external validation to seek, the wounds I avoided for many years began to surface.

For the first time in my life, I had no choice but to look at what was underneath my anxiety and preventing me from being vulnerable and creating meaning in my life.

I started questioning my purpose, and the meaning of life (looking back, I was going through an existential moment).  I was forced to face things I avoided for many years that prevented me from being vulnerable and creating meaningful relationships in life.

Although I felt purposeless, I knew that all of these experiences were given to me to make an impact that would go beyond just me.

I’ve always had a passion for supporting others… In fact, I would be the friend you’d call whenever you needed someone to set you straight and set goals with you!

But I never actually took that advice myself!

Then, I was introduced to hypnosis and life coaching, I thought, “If I knew this when I was younger, I think I could have saved myself from years of headaches and anxiety!”

My first experiences with transformational personal development and working with a life coach changed my life.

It shifted my focus to a new way of being through mindfulness, changing my self-talk, understanding how my own worldview impacted my personal relationships, and how my interpretation of others and the world affected me…

I learned how to navigate times of uncertainty, create stronger connections, and start seeing possibilities instead of problems.

And I let go of what I thought I “should” be doing, and the fear of being judged for going after what I felt called in my heart to do.

And from that place of inner knowing, I became a Certified Transformational Coach, The National Guild of Hypnotists Certified Hypnotherapist, trained as an Ontology, Mindfulness, and Ecology (OME) Coach, and I have an MBA in Leadership Transformation from Boston University.

The most important and impactful part of my journey was getting to know myself, learning to love myself unconditionally, and remembering my true essence.

How I found myself…

Hypnosis…

Is a state of inner absorption, concentration, and focused attention. It is like using a magnifying glass to focus the rays of the sun and make them more powerful. Similarly, when our minds are concentrated and focused, we are able to use our minds more powerfully. - American Society of Clinical Hypnosis

Transformational Coaching…

This type of coaching ensures the alignment of actions with powerful declarations to have you live your best authentic life!
